Apple Valley Eye Care has been a part of the Twin Cities landscape since 1978. A practice opened on the philosophy of providing quality eye care services utilizing state of the art technology with a heavy dose of Minnesota nice.
Doctors Wellik and Anderson are dedicated to providing excellence in comprehensive patient care, clinical education, diagnostic techniques, contact lens fittings and optical services. Our experienced optometric staff of seasoned professionals are available to assist you with your glasses, contact lenses and specialty eyewear needs.
I interviewed for a “clerical position” at Apple Valley Eye Care in 1996, and I have been here ever since. Since starting, my job has changed and evolved so much after almost 26 years. I consider it a privilege to have worked for (and with) “Dr. Bob” Blomquist for nearly 20 years. Both he and “Dr. Pat” Wellik are not only wonderful optometrists, but truly amazing human beings. I love that the clinic believes in a “family comes first” attitude. I think it is a rare thing with today’s employers.
Fun facts: I LOVE football! High School, College, NFL… love it all! This fact makes Apple Valley Eye Care’s partnership with the Minnesota Vikings a dream come true!

Upon graduating from Eveleth Technical College with a two year optical Technician diploma, I ventured to the big city. I was lucky enough to be welcomed to the Apple Valley Eye Care family soon after. Over the years I have worked in many areas of the office but found my niche within the billing department as the VSP Coordinator. I have just celebrated my 28th year with my Apple Valley Eye Care family thanks to Dr. Blomquist and Dr. Wellik, two amazing bosses along with my fantastic coworkers.
Fun fact: I have been with Apple Valley Eye Care through all three office moves! From the original office on Granada to the current location.
Doctor’s Tech / Optician
I've been with Apple Valley Eye Care for 6 years. I love learning about the optometric field and new ways to help people see. I feel fortunate to be part of such a successful team and am proud to be part of the Apple Valley Eye Care family. I enjoy spending time with my children and cuddling with my cats, Swift and Flipper. I also love spending time in the kitchen coming up with new recipes and tending to my year-round herb garden.
Fun facts: I like to hide at work… because good workers are hard to find.

I started working at Apple Valley Eye Care in 1989 with Dr.Bob (Blomquist.) Eventually in 1995, I helped welcome the “new doctor”, Dr. Pat (Wellik.) Over the past 33 years I’ve been blessed to be a part of a group of doctors and staff who are so knowledgeable and caring. A couple things I’ve really enjoyed over the years is getting to know our Apple Valley Eye Care patients, and seeing three generations of the same family in our clinic. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, serving in my church, traveling, reading, and music.
Fun fact: I started at Apple Valley Eye Care as a single woman. I’ve been able to share major life milestones with friends at Apple Valley Eye Care, like my wedding and becoming a mother of two step kids, the birth of my daughter, and now I’m a grandma.
I've been with Apple Valley Eye Care for 2 years. I started working in eye care in 2014. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my two daughters, being with friends and family and reading or watching ‘Friends’ reruns.

I've been in the eye care industry since June 2014, and I have been with Apple Valley Eye Care since February 2021. I am NCLE certified. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 daughters. In the summer months I enjoy spending time paddle boarding and playing volleyball with friends and family.

I joined Apple Valley Eye Care in late 2021. I feel lucky to be a part of an amazing team, and to get to learn new things every day. In my free time, I enjoy spending time at home with my boyfriend, birds, and books.
Contact Lens Tech
I have been with Apple Valley Eye Care for 3 years. Helping people improve their vision with an option other than just glasses is what I enjoy most about my job. I especially enjoy the excitement of kids who are new to contacts and they love the fact that they can see without having to wear eyeglasses. I also love the friendships I have made working here.
Fun fact: Since I was a child, every pet that I have had has had a name that starts with the letter “S.” I currently have 1 dog named Sabre and 2 cats named Stitch & Sushi.

I have been with Apple Valley Eye Care for almost 1 year. I’ve been in the eye care field for 17 years specializing in contact lenses. I enjoy being part of a team that strives toward maximizing patient’s vision & helping our doctors meet every patient’s individual needs.
Fun fact: I am fascinated with forensics and love watching true crime documentaries.

I have been with Apple Valley Eye Care for 16 years. I work in the insurance and billing department facilitating all aspects of insurance processing. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my daughter and my family, playing cards, and taking my dog Cody to the park and the lake.
Fun facts: My true aspiration is to be a stay-at-home dog mom!

I've worked at Apple Valley Eye Care since 2006. My passion for eye care started in 1996. I live in Lakeville with my wife and son. In my spare time I enjoy playing guitar and collecting vinyl records. I am certified as a COT, ABOC-AC, NCLE-AC.
Fun fact: I was born and raised in Apple Valley, and love to talk about its history with the patients.
I started working at Apple Valley Eye Care in late 2022. This is my first experience in the eye care industry, and I am excited to learn and grow with the team here. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, video games, and spending time with loved ones.

I started working at Apple Valley Eye Care at the beginning of 2023. Working for the clinic feels like being part of a big caring family. I have never worked in optical, and I'm excited to see where this industry takes me.
Fun Fact: My family is obsessed with dance. My mom and dad taught partner dancing before I was born, and I did dance for 15 years. I enjoy going to ballets with my mom, and I love to see her perform onstage.

As an Optician, my favorite aspect about my job is the one-on-one patient interactions. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my pet rabbits and traveling.

I have been working at Apple Valley Eye Care since the summer of 2023. I can faithfully say that I love my job. My favorite part about working here is how much the clinic not only values family, but they also value each of our opinions and long-term life goals. This is the number one thing that makes working here very special and rewarding.
A fun fact about me is that I absolutely love Beyoncé and that I am a full-time college student who aspires to be a wife and mother someday.
I started working at Apple Valley Eye Care in the spring of 2023. I am very blessed to be part of a clinic who are so caring and makes me feel welcome. This is my first experience in the eye care field. It is truly an honor to help my Hispanic/Latin Community (Spanish speaking) with translating when needed. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family, my three boys, my husband and now a new member to my family, my puppy “Sky”. I also enjoy serving my church, traveling and being outdoors.
